About Ms. McNamara
My name is Kelly McNamara and I am thrilled to be starting my 27th year of teaching and my seventh year teaching here at Leesville. During my time here at Leesville I have taught both kindergarten and first grade. I also had the honor of being Leesville's Teacher of the Year during the 2014-2015 school year!
I'm originally from upstate New York and moved to North Carolina 20 years ago. I have five amazing children. My oldest daughter Lauren is a Freshman at Campbell University studying to be a physician's assistant and is on the girls basketball team. My daughter Tia is a tenth grader at Leesville High School. I have a son, Richard in third grade and a daughter Tabitha in kindergarten, both here at Leesville. My youngest son, Nazcere goes to a blended pre-k class at Poe Elementary. While I have been teaching for over a quarter of a century, I find each new school year to be even more exciting than the last! I love to learn and grow along with the students, and can't wait to get to know each and every one of them as our school year begins!
Feel free to come in and volunteer throughout the year in our classroom! I love and strongly encourage family involvement!!
